Mortgage Processor- Sarasota, FL

As a Mortgage Processor for First Nationwide Lending, your goal is to assist Loan Officers in gathering loan documents and conditions from client and third parties to ensure timely closings. In addition maintaining full compliance with all state, federal, and internal requirements.

Primary Duties

Review loan application for completeness and accuracy
Orders appraisal
Orders VOE, VOR, etc…
Sets up insurance
Orders title, tax transcripts, SSA# Verifs, and items required for the loan, etc
Looks over for any red flags and pre-underwrites the file.
Prepares and emails to LO “Processor Review Condition Sheet” for any items missing from submission to processor. Follows up to make sure they are received
Communicates with LO throughout loan process
Has a weekly processing meeting with each LO to go over all files
Runs GUS (if USDA)
Does any re-disclosures needed on the file (locks, fee’s, program change, etc)
Submits to UW
Gets all UW conditions
Processor to inform LO of what they are working on and ETA for arrival
The goal here is to be on the same page about the ETA of requested items, and re-submission timeframe.
Re-Submits for final approval – CTC
Sends files to closings after CTC is received
Coordinates close dates with closings and title
Gives Loan Officer HUD for final approval once closing sends it
Informs LO of the signing date so they can attend if they want to
All company requested items after closing (if any)

Education and Experience Requirements

Recent mortgage processing experience is mandatory
4-year college degree preferred or equivalent experience
The ability to connect quickly with people in an outgoing, friendly manner
Complete work quickly and accurately
Excellent organization skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Delegate responsibility as needed in a positive manner
Speak, write, listen and organize well
Knowledge of Encompass Loan Origination Software
Experience running and interpreting Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector
Professional phone etiquette to ensure proper communications and expectations are set with all parties involved in the loan process
