Miramar HARP Refinance

Let’s say you have always been great with your mortgage payments but there isn’t anyone who is interested to refinance your home due to its declined value? Well, there is a way to take out a refinance mortgage on your home easier and more effective than previously available. Meet HARP, also known as the Home Affordable Refinance Program. So now you ask what precisely is a Miramar HARP refinance?

The Purpose of HARP

Launched in March of 2009, Miramar HARP refinance hopes to provide refinancing to property owners whose home dropped in value. This was primarily created to minimize the U.S. housing bubble of 2006. This program however was designed solely for property owners who are not behind their mortgage payments, but rather have been effectively paying their mortgage off.

Just like other government program, Miramar HARP has a lot of basic requirements. Take a look at some:

Only mortgages secured by either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac are covered by HARP.
Home Loans are required to be closed and funded before May 31, 2009.
Home owners can’t have defaulted on any loan payments, for the 6 months prior to requesting a Miramar HARP refinance.
The home’s Loan To Value (LTV) ratio must be over 80%

There needs to be some benefit to the home owners in terms of their home loan payments or stability in mortgage.

Who benefits from HARP?

The HARP refinance mortgage has many measurable benefits. For example, if you still have a $150,000 mortgage on a now $120,000 home, you could have your home loan refinanced. As such, you pay down the Miramar home loan faster than before. In addition, the monthly loan payments you make will most likely be much smaller than before.

If your home dropped in value and you would like to do a refinance, then Miramar HARP refinance mortgage is for you.
